Terms of Service
Last updated: October 12, 2026
By creating an account or placing an order on Pevora, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Pevora.
1. Who we are
Pevora (mypevora.com) is an online marketplace for food, cakes, products, services, events and more. Pevora is operated by Deborah Oliver trading as Pevora [replace with registered business name and RC number once registered], based in Awka, Anambra State, Nigeria. Contact: support@mypevora.com.
2. What Pevora does
Pevora connects customers with independent vendors. Vendors are not Pevora employees or agents. Each vendor is responsible for what they list, sell and deliver.
Pevora provides the platform, collects payments through Paystack, holds payments until an order is completed or refunded, and coordinates delivery through vendors or third-party delivery partners.
3. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account or place an order.
- You must give accurate information, including your name, phone number and delivery address.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity on your account.
- We may suspend or close accounts that break these Terms, misuse the platform, or act fraudulently.
4. Placing an order
- Each order is placed with one vendor.
- Before you pay, checkout shows the item prices, the delivery fee for your area, the protection fee, and the total. These are the amounts you will be charged.
- Cakes, products and services are request-first: you submit a request, and the vendor must accept it before anything is charged. Vendors have a limited time to respond — currently 60 minutes for cakes and products, and 2 hours for services. If the vendor declines or does not respond in time, nothing is charged. If they accept, you then have 60 minutes to complete payment, or the request closes automatically with nothing charged.
- Food orders work differently: there is no separate acceptance step. Paying confirms your food order immediately, and the vendor begins preparing it right away. See the Refund and Cancellation Policy for what happens if a vendor can't fulfil a food order after payment.
5. Fees
- Item prices are set by vendors.
- Delivery fee is set by Pevora based on your delivery area. It does not apply to pickup orders or services performed at your location.
- Protection fee is a Pevora service fee that covers secure payment handling and buyer protection on your order.
6. How payment is held
When you pay, the money is held by Pevora and is not released to the vendor straight away. It is released only after the order is completed: when you confirm you received it, or when the confirmation period ends with no problem reported. If a problem is reported, the money stays held until it is resolved.
7. Delivery and fulfilment
- Delivery is available only to areas Pevora currently serves, and only from vendors who deliver to your area.
- You must provide an accurate address, a useful landmark where helpful, and a phone number on which you can be reached.
- Delivery may be carried out by the vendor or by a third-party delivery partner arranged by Pevora.
- Delivery times are estimates. Pevora is not responsible for delays caused by incorrect details, an unreachable customer, or events outside our reasonable control.
- For services, the vendor performs the service at your address. For pickup orders, you collect from the vendor's location.
8. Confirming your order and reporting problems
- When an order is marked delivered, you have 24 hours to confirm it or report a problem.
- If you do neither within 24 hours, the order is treated as completed and payment is released to the vendor.
- If you report a problem within 24 hours, payment stays held while Pevora reviews it. Pevora may ask both you and the vendor for information, such as photos.
- After review, Pevora may issue a full refund to you or release the payment to the vendor. Pevora's decision on a dispute is final on the platform, without affecting any rights you have under Nigerian law.
9. Cancellations and refunds
Cancellations and refunds follow the Refund and Cancellation Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
10. Vendor terms
If you sell on Pevora, you also agree that:
- Your listings are accurate, including descriptions, photos, prices and availability, and you will deliver what you advertised.
- You will accept or decline orders within the acceptance window and fulfil accepted orders on time.
- You hold any licences or permits your business requires, and you meet food safety and hygiene standards where you sell food.
- You set your own base location and request the delivery areas you can serve. Pevora approves delivery areas.
- You are responsible for your own taxes.
- You will not contact customers to take payment outside Pevora for orders placed on Pevora.
Commission. Pevora charges no commission from launch until 31 January 2027. After that, Pevora will charge a commission of 5% on the item value of each completed order. We will give vendors at least 30 days' notice before commission starts or changes. Commission is not charged on delivery fees.
Payouts. A vendor's earnings for an order become available to withdraw 48 hours after the order is completed. Withdrawals are paid to a verified Nigerian bank account in the vendor's legal name, with a minimum withdrawal of ₦1,000. A newly added or changed bank account can't receive payouts for 24 hours. Pevora reviews every withdrawal before it's sent, and covers the transfer fees — the full amount requested is what's paid out. Pevora may hold payouts while a dispute or suspected fraud is under review.
11. Prohibited items and services
You may not list, sell or buy the following on Pevora:
- Medication, prescription drugs and medical devices
- Illegal drugs and drug paraphernalia
- Weapons, ammunition, explosives and parts for them
- Counterfeit, fake or replica goods
- Stolen goods
- Adult or sexually explicit content or services
- Tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarettes and vapes
- Anything else that is illegal in Nigeria or that infringes someone else's rights
Alcohol may only be sold to customers aged 18 and over. Vendors selling alcohol are responsible for any licences required, and may refuse to hand over an order if the recipient appears to be under 18.
Pevora may remove listings and suspend vendors that break this section.
12. Acceptable use
You must not misuse Pevora, including by fraud, placing fake orders, harassing vendors, customers or riders, posting false information, or interfering with the platform's security.
13. Limitation of liability
Vendors are responsible for the items and services they sell. To the extent permitted by Nigerian law, Pevora is not liable for the quality, safety or legality of items listed by vendors, or for indirect or consequential losses.
Where Pevora is found liable in connection with an order, Pevora's total liability is limited to the amount you paid for that order. Nothing in these Terms limits rights you have under the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018 or other Nigerian law that cannot be excluded.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. We will post the new version on mypevora.com with its date and, for significant changes, notify you by email or in the app. Continuing to use Pevora after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Disputes that cannot be resolved with Pevora directly will be handled by the courts of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja.
